Digital missionaries wanted

Your skills. The gospel. A place to serve.

Help Japanese churches reach people, welcome newcomers and share the hope of Jesus. Bring your skills in technology, design or language to the work of JTCM.

Mission work happens here, too.

A church website can help someone find their first Sunday service. A Bible app can make Scripture part of a daily commute. A clear translation can help someone understand what they are reading. Behind each of these is a person using their skills to serve.

At JTCM — Japan Tech for Christ Mission — we build and maintain websites and apps for Japanese churches and ministries worldwide. We donate the work, and each ministry keeps ownership of its domain, content and decisions. As a digital missionary, you can help make that work possible.

Where could you contribute?

You don’t have to do everything. Bring a skill you can offer and a willingness to learn.

Build & maintain

Develop websites and apps, improve performance and accessibility, or fix the small bugs that get in someone’s way.

Design & communicate

Make a church’s message easier to find and understand through thoughtful layouts, clear writing and useful visuals.

Design · user experience · content

Translate & proofread

Help Japanese and English content sound natural, read clearly and communicate faithfully.

Test & care for the details

Try a site on your phone, check links and forms, or explain a confusing experience so we can improve it.

A heart to serve. Work you can sustain.

We’re looking for people who want to serve Jesus and the Japanese church, listen well to ministry partners and follow through on what they take on. This is an invitation to volunteer.

  • Tell us what fits your life: a small task, a specific project or an ongoing contribution.
  • Share your location, time zone and language skills so we can discuss a practical way to work together.
  • Care about the people using what we build. Respect each ministry’s voice, ownership and trust.

Start with a conversation.

You don’t need a polished application. Send us a short introduction and tell us:

  • What draws you to serving the Japanese church
  • Your skills and experience, with a work sample if you have one
  • Your availability, time zone and Japanese or English ability
