日本教会のために

Japan Tech for Christ Mission

We build and look after websites and apps for Japanese churches and ministries — in Japan and wherever Japanese speakers gather. The work is donated; the domain, the content and the decisions stay with the ministry.

Our mission

Technology in the service of the Japanese church

Many ministries doing significant work are held back by a website they can’t update, can’t move, and can’t afford to replace. We take that problem off their hands — and make sure they never depend on us to get out.

Design for humans

Congregations, not developers, are the audience. A site should load on an old phone over a poor connection, read clearly in Japanese and English, and not require anyone to be trained to use it.

Wherever Japanese speakers gather

In Japan, yes, but not only in Japan. Much of our work serves Japanese-speaking churches and returnee ministries across North America and beyond.

The ministry stays in control

You own your domain, your content and your decisions. We can hand over a copy of your site whenever you ask, and you can point your domain elsewhere without going through us.

Looked after, not just launched

Sites we operate are monitored for outages, checked for broken links and ageing dependencies, and backed up where they hold data. Handing over a finished site and disappearing is not the job.

Donated work, nothing to pay

The development is donated. We also build on services whose free tiers have covered everything we have needed so far, so ministries have not had to pay for hosting either. The only cost a ministry carries is its own domain registration.
